Re: I tested some 7.62x25 Tokarev loads over the weekend « Reply #10 on: December 12, 2015, 11:47:24 AM » I just finished testing the 100 grain 32 caliber XTP's that I ran through a.308' lee bullet sizer to bring them down to.3085'. Quoted: My brother reloads for his and makes his own brass for once fire.223 brass by cutting it down to proper length and reforming the neck and shoulder in the Lee 7.62 x 25 FL sizing die and turning the neck down to the proper dia. Hornady make as 86 gr. XTP HP bullet in.308 or.309 dia. For the X25 Sierra makes a 85 gr. FMJ for reloading.
(If using this load data for TT-33 Type Tokarev Pistols, Start at 15% below the Min. Charge given, and work up Slowly.)
This Is a load development video using Hodgdon CFE Pistol powder in the Tokarev cartridge. I try to make it informational even if you don't reload for 7.62x.

Disclaimer
Reloading metallic cartridges may be extremely hazardous if not done properly. Nothing can replace experience and a good reloading guide from a reputable manufacturer of reloading components. Always reduce all minimum powder charges by 10% and 'work up' a load if no signs of over-pressure are evident (bulged cases, flattened primers, etc.). Loads listed are test loads in the author's firearms, and may not be safe in any other firearms.
